How to download a Meshy model as GLB
GLB is the best first download from Meshy: one file, PBR materials intact, and it opens in Blender, Unity, Unreal Engine and most web viewers. This guide shows the exact steps, which Meshy links work, and what to do when the source is a packed .meshy file.
Download the Meshy GLB, step by step
- 1
Copy the Meshy link
Open the model on meshy.ai — a workspace task, a Discover post, or a public model page — and copy the URL from your browser address bar. You must already be able to open that model in your own Meshy account.
- 2
Sign in to AI3DGrab
Sign in with Google to open Meshy Grab. Your quota and library attach to that account. AI3DGrab never asks for a Meshy password or API key.
- 3
Paste and analyze
Paste the link in Meshy Grab and analyze it. You will see the model title, its assets, and a 3D preview before anything is downloaded.
- 4
Download the original GLB
Choose Download original to keep the source GLB when the source is already GLB. If the source is a packed .meshy file, AI3DGrab decrypts it to GLB in your browser tab, then downloads that GLB.
- 5
Zip the textures if you need them
If the model has PBR maps, tick the texture assets and download them as one zip next to the GLB, so albedo, normal, roughness and metal maps travel with the mesh.
Keep the PBR maps with the mesh
- Always download the original GLB first, then convert. Converting from a converted file loses quality.
- If a link will not analyze, paste the exact address-bar URL, not a shortened or shared link.
- GLB keeps PBR materials in one file, which is why it is the best format for Blender, Unity and web viewers.
Meshy GLB questions
Does this generate a Meshy model?+
No. Generation stays on Meshy. This guide downloads a model you can already open on meshy.ai.
What is a .meshy file?+
Meshy’s packed mesh format. AI3DGrab decrypts it to GLB in your browser, so you end up with a standard GLB you can open anywhere.
Do you store the mesh?+
No. The mesh is decrypted and downloaded in your browser. AI3DGrab keeps job metadata only, not the mesh itself.
Try it on your own model
Paste a link you can already open, preview it, then download the format you need.
